Official Scouting Report

  • RHP/SSPosition Projection

03/27/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Isaac is a talented RHP/SS in the 2025 class. In the field, he has active feet and fields in a squared position. He presents his pocket well and has quick transfers. Has solid pocket feel on his backhands. Displays arm strength (82 velo) and is accurate to his targets. On the mound, he has a high motor and commands the zone. His FB topped at 77 with run. His CB is his best pitch and sits 63-66 and has late sharp break. At the plate, he has explosive bat speed (92 exit velo). He generates hard line drive contact with a short attack angle. Incorporates his lower half well in his swing and maintains a centered balance. Overall, there is a lot to like about Isaac’s game and scouts are eager to see how quickly he progresses on the diamond.

01/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - San Diego, CA Isaac is a young, thin, 2-way player who pitches and plays 2nd base. On the mound, Isaac has a balanced delivery, a loose arm circle, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He lands in a square position, finishes completely, and competes in the zone with his pitches. At 2nd base, Isaac has efficient footwork to the ball, he presents his glove well, and covers ground. He fields in rhythm, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and good direction to his target. At the plate, Isaac has an athletic set-up, good balance, and fast bat speed. He loads well, swings in good rhythm, and he uses some lower body. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
