05/19/2019 - College PREP - Redwood City (San Francisco/San Jose), CA Isaak is an athletic 2B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 2B, Isaak shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws consistent with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and leads well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact to all fields. Overall, Isaak is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/02/2018 - College PREP - San Francisco, CA Isaak is a lean, athletic 2B who has a promising future on the diamond. In the MIF, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks ground balls in working to play through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and present well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program and work to get rid of the baseball quicker. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to increase as he improves overall body strength. With 2 years to further develop, Isaak has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
