05/25/2013 - Little League® Experience - S. Williamsport Isaiah is a young player who is very coachable and has a desire to improve. On the mound, he is a big frame who does a good job of locking in on his target and competing against hitters in the zone. His upper body works well, but needs to work on consistently getting his lower body finished. His tendency to fall off towards 3B can lead to inconsistency throwing strikes. Defensively, he squares the ball up well and has sure hands. His footwork is effective, and continuing to work on flexibility and foot speed will increase his range and ability to adjust to poor throws. Offensively, he has power potential and a good load. He starts square and balanced, but tends to open up with his stride and get out on his front foot. By working to stay closed/balanced and let the ball travel, he will have more success making consistent contact and driving the ball to all fields. Overall, Isaiah has a lot of upside as he continues to work on the above areas and grow into his body.
