10/23/2021 - Mid Atlantic Regional Pitching/Catching & Offensive Skills Combined Weekend (Ages 12-14) Isaiah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 63 mph. Fastball shows cutting action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with both his pitches. He will benefit in developing a breaking ball as he continues to progress. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/25/2021 - All-In Membership - Frederick, MD Isaiah is an OF/RHP who will graduate high school in 2026. Tall frame for his age with strength present and plenty of room/time to develop. In the OF, aggressive jumps and quick feet enable him to cover ground in all directions. Flips his hips as tries to work behind the baseball. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot into the infield. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher works with good direction towards the target as he incorporates his lower half. Gets his chest over front knee and eyes on target. Ability to repeat his delivery. A 2 pitch pitcher who showed good command of his pitches. Mixes in a FB that was up to 59mph and a developing changeup with slight movement in the strike zone. FB was his best pitch during bullpen. A right-handed hitter, starts with a tall and square stance. Quiet head/eyes enable him to track pitches well. Short stride, with a direct barrel path, and late bat whip. Ability to hit balls where they are pitched with a bat exit velocity of 72mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
