07/14/2018 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Ivan is an athletic and lean 2019 2B prospect. At 2B, Ivan has an efficient prep step and shows range on both side of the ball. He plays thru his backhand and makes accurate throws. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. Presenting a low/early glove and working from the ground up will allow him to field the ball in a more athletic position. At the plate, Ivan starts in a tall stance and hits off a firm front side. He keeps the barrel on plane and makes consistent contact to all field. Continuing to load his hands back into the drive position and getting his front foot down on time will allow him to attack the inside part of the ball. Ivan plays the game hard and is eager to learn. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

03/18/2018 - College PREP - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Ivan is an athletic and talented 2019 2B prospect. At 2B, Ivan is aggressive to the ball, he has quick hands, and a clean exchanging. Continuing to present a low/early glove and working from the ground up will elevate his game to the next level. At the plate, Ivan starts in a squared stance, he keeps a quiet head, and has a middle approach. Continuing to have a strong lower half and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to drive the ball to all fields. Ivan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
