06/19/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14)
Jace is a coachable 3B/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Select Training at the College World Series. In the field, Jace takes a good first step and displays active footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a relaxed stance and takes a short stride. He gets his hands activated in his load and hits against a strong front side. He gets good extension through the ball and produces loud contact. Overall, Jace is a talented prospect who will be one to follow going into his freshman season.
06/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14)
Jace is an athletic 3B/OF with a high baseball IQ and continues to show improvement from past events. In the outfield, Jace shows fluid feet and agile range that allow him to track down and create good angle to the ball. He shows an athletic fielding position with soft hands that he presents out front of his body. He shows quick, clean exchanges into a quick arm action (high 3/4 arm slot) and makes consistently accurate throws through a quick release, throwing the ball on a line. Jace's body is very in sync with his movements in the outfield from start to finish, which is a great improvement from previous events. Jace shows improvement in raw velocity, which has climbed from 63 mph to 66 mph. He will see improvement in his lateral movements through ladder drills. At the plate, Jace continues to show very controlled, balanced movements through an athletic, open set up and a short stride with a good load. Rhythm is fluid as he keeps his balance center and keeps a firm front half. Jace shows a quiet barrel whip in his direct swing path and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Although his mechanics are great, Jace can improve offensively by starting his swing earlier. Along with Jace's skills on the field, he showed great intangibles at the camp by asking questions and being coachable as well as making adjustments and being a team player, which earned him well deserved camp MVP honors.
07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14)
Jace continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but Jace needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a great team player.

Jace is a great 2-way player at SS/OF. Defensively at SS, he takes a prep step working into a low fielding position. He moves well to his backhand glove and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. In the OF, he's aggressive as he gets behind the fly ball. He fields low, sets his feet and makes accurate throws to his target. With the stick, Jace shows an athletic setup with smooth rhythm to load. He whips his barrel quickly to the ball as he drives pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.
1. Lateral quickness
2. Better DP feeds
3. Play through the ball
1. Quick 1st step
2. Create better angles to ball
3. Arm strength (long toss)
1. Loosen grip on bat
2. Work on timing
3. Extend more through contact
