01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jace is a C/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Behind the dish, Jace shows efficient footwork and centers dirt balls in the middle of his body. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and works through a direct swing, producing strong contact. On the mound, Jace gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Jace operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 61-62mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits at 67mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Jace is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jace is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Jace shows active footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he makes strong throws across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a short swing and produces strong line drives. On the mound, Jace gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Jace shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 70mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 51-53mph with 11-5 break. Overall, Jace is a talented prospect who will be one to follow as he continues to progress.

11/07/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Pompano Beach, FL Jace is a RHP/SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Jace gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Jace shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out a 69mph. Breaking ball sits at 54mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 59-62mph with late arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Jace shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, working to keep them accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and works through a level swing, producing solid contact. With five more years to develop, Jace has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Jace is a young 2B/RHP that worked hard at Dodgertown. At 2B, Jace shows relaxed actions with smooth footwork as he works to the ball. He shows agile range and fields the ball on time with a confident glove. His exchanges are clean as he creates momentum towards his target and delivers the ball with accuracy and strength. At the plate, Jace shoes a square setup with comfortable hands. As he starts his load, he keeps his body under control and gets the barrel on plane early with the pitch. He shows he makes consistent contact especially to the opposite field. Jace can improve his approach at the plate by being more aggressive. On the mound, Jace shows a 3-pitch mix with a FB, CB, and CH. The FB he throws for a high volume, the CB has good 11-5 shape, and the CH is deceptive with FB arm speed. Pitching, Jace's moves on the mound are simple and small as he gathers over the rubber and separates on time as he works down the mound. He gets a good stride length and rotates to his target to finish. Jace is young, with several years to develop. We look forward to seeing his progress.

11/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Davie, FL Jace is a young, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and RHP. Defensively, Jace has efficient footwork, he moves well to the glove side, and he works around the ball well. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency from a loose arm circle to his target. On the mound, Jace has quiet mechanics, a controlled delivery, and on time separation. He lands with good direction and a proper length stride toward home plate. Offensively, Jace has a tall/square stance, he loads well, and swings in good rhythm. He has a loose swing, a direct barrel, and he can spray the ball to all fields. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
