07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Jacek continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.10. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone through the receiving process. He uses his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner to improve grade. At the plate, power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/04/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Troy (Albany), NY Jacek is an athletic C/SS. Defensively at SS, he creates solid angles as he gets into a square/low fielding position. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. Behind the plate, he shows quick footwork with presentable hands. He explodes out of his stance with a clean transfer and fires throws on line down to 2B. With the stick, Jacek presents a balanced setup. He rips his lower 1/2 through and drives pitches consistently with hard contact. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Quicker feet
2. Develop soft hands
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Catching
1. Lateral range
2. Stick pitches
3. Quicker to block
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Develop rhythm
3. Level out swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
