09/02/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Troy (Albany), NY Jacek is an athletic C prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Jacek shows fluid footwork and covers up well when blocking. He presents a good target to the pitcher and makes a clean exchange to throw, getting good carry through 2B. Jacek can improve as a C by setting up square to the pitcher. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes his stride on time. He shows a smooth rhythm and maintains center balance. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed which leads to hard contact and line drives. Jacek can improve as a hitter by getting into his load more. Overall, Jacek is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

06/25/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Troy (Albany), NY Jacek continues to show a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.13 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process but will benefit by working to get his body down sooner. In the MIF, feet are aggressive as he works around and plays through balls well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. Defensive abilities will continue to improve as he quickens his feeds / turns of the double play. At the plate, he shows a squared setup with balance. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Jacek continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.10. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone through the receiving process. He uses his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner to improve grade. At the plate, power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
