07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jack continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent hard contact, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 4 for 8 with a 2B and 3B. At 1B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He works to square balls up and makes the routine plays. He displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.
