10/04/2023 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2026) Jack continued to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 2B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with velocity improving 5mph since his last workout for us now coming in at 75mph. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 3 for 7 with a 2B and 2 BB's. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

03/11/2023 - National Showcase - Sioux Falls, SD Jack is a 2026 2B prospect with an athletic, small frame. He really impressed in the field with active footwork and range to all angles. His glove is impressive, he shows off quick hands that field the ball out in front and make good adjustments to hops. He has a clean exchange from glove to hand and makes accurate throws to his targets. He has a great first step with smooth actions. Arm should improve as he grows/matures. At the plate, Jack features an athletic stance with a squared stride towards the pitcher. He does a good job getting a clean load and has smooth rhythm in his swing. He really attacks pitches and shows feel for an opposite field approach. He is a leadoff type hitter with a compact swing and impressive bat speed. Makes hard consistent contact and works the gaps. Does a really good job with his weight distribution throughout his swing. A really aggressive hitter with a lot of room for growth over the next 3+ years!

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
