08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Jack continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, he has improved his hitting potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At SS, he displays proper footwork and he works to square balls up. Glove action is soft/sure but needs to present more out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls through a low approach. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but he will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. we look forward to seeing what the future holds for Jack.

04/29/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Charlottesville, VA Jack is a young, tall, 2-way player who plays 1B and SS. At 1B, Jack has playable hands and feet, he fields in a square position, and has a clean exchange. He keeps the ball in front of his body and has a loose/accurate arm to his target. At SS, Jack has clean hands, he moves well to the glove side, and a long/accurate arm to his target. At the plate, Jack has a tall set-up, a long stride, and he puts the bat on the ball. He will need to work on the following in order to improve.

First base
1. Attack aggressively
2. Fielding position
3. Lighten/quicken feet
Short Stop
1. Raise arm slot
2. Fielding position
3. Release
Offense

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
