10/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Jack is an athletic 3B who will graduate in 2024. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is soft and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. With 3 years to further develop, Jack has potential with time and room to progress his game.

10/21/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Jack is a 3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Skill summary below.

Hitting
- Level swing
- Strong front side
- Needs more hand load

12/08/2018 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Jack is an athletic and talented 2024 prospect that works hard and made several adjustments throughout the Mid Atlantic Hitting Weekend. At the plate, Jack starts in a squared stance, keeps a quiet head, and recognizes pitches up in the zone. He needs to continue to load his hands back into the drive position, get his front foot down on time, and stay balanced through contact. Creating backside rotation with his lower half and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to get extension through contact. Jack will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/03/2018 - College Recruiting Day - Ellicott City, MD Jack is a C prospect who will graduate in 2024. Behind the plate, Jack sits in an athletic primary stance and receives with soft hands. He shows proper footwork and makes a clean exchange to throw, keeping his throws accurate to 2B. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short swing to the ball, producing solid contact. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Catching
1. Blocking footwork
2. Blocking technique
3. Quicker release
Hitting
1. Smoother load
2. Softer stride
3. Lower half drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
