11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Manalapan, NJ Jack is a 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build, well pre-portioned, and plenty of room to add more strength throughout. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. At 3B, he starts with active feet and takes good 1st steps to the baseball. Creates good fielding angles and showed a good glove angle. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with good carry, and an arm velocity up to 87mph across the diamond. On the mound, he gets a good rear hip coil, with a good balance point, and works with good direction. He showed a quick arm and gets good extension out front. Throws a FB that sits 73-79mph with good arm side run on his 2-seam, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth through the strike zone, and a changeup with some tailing action. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Takes a square glide step, with good hip turn, and intent in swing. A short/direct barrel path, with explosive bat speed, and ability to stay long and through the baseball. Hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 92mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
