10/13/2018 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 14-18) Jack is an athletic prospect that worked hard and made several adjustments during the Mid-Atlantic Hitting Camp. At the plate, Jack starts in a squared stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He gets his front foot down on time, and stays balanced through contact. He hits off a firm front side and made the adjustment to create whip in his swing. He needs to continue to have a middle approach, and have consistent backside rotation with his lower half. Jack will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

09/16/2018 - College PREP - Moosic (Scranton), PA Jack is an athletic and talented 2021 utility prospect. At 2B, Jack has an active prep step, creates angles to the ball, and plays through his backhand. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Behind the dish, Jack stays directional with his lower half and makes accurate throws. He needs continue to present a low target and have athletic stance. At the plate, Jack starts in a crouched stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and has quick hands to the ball. He attacks the ball with his lower half and stays balanced through contact. Jack will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
