09/16/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Jack continues to get better each time we see him, and he had a very impressive outing at the BF Under Armour Futures East event. He retired all eight hitters he faced with 3 Ks and some weak contact. He fits the big-time reliever profile throwing everything from the stretch, having some deception in his delivery, and throwing from a 3/4 slot. He lives down in the zone and gets good tailing life to his fastball. His slider moves in the opposite direction with late sweeping action, and he rounds out his repertoire with a sinking change. He is aggressive with his fastball and pitches to contact, with right-handed hitters being particularly uncomfortable against him. Committed to South Florida, Jack is a pitcher that coaches can really trust on the mound.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jack Jasiak is a bright young hurler with a 6'1/160 lbs frame. On the mound at the UAPSAA with Baseball Factory, he competed throwing his FB and CB, with good balance, clean arm action and front side extension. His FB worked from 85-87, and his CB had 11/5 shape with late break from 69-71. He worked downhill with his plane and was extremely effective in the zone mixing his stuff. Overall - Jack has advanced pitching feel and projects as one of the elite in the class of 2019.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
