01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jack is a tall RHP prospect who continued to showcase his skills at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. On the mound, Jack gathers over the rubber and stays inline towards the plate. driving his lower half well. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 86mph. Breaking ball sits from 66-70mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 74-75mph. Overall, Jack is a solid prospect who should find success in this, his sophomore season.

07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Jack is a talented right-handed pitching prospect who has a solid, projectable build. On the mound, Jack pitches with good rhythm and repeats his delivery. He has balanced, on-time mechanics throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a clean arm action and extends through his release. He lands closed to home plate with a controlled landing at the proper stride length. Jack stays tall on the backside and effectively uses his front side. He does a nice job finishes with his chest over his front knee. His fastball has arm side run at times clocking in at 83-86 MPH. Jack has late break and tight spin on his curveball. In the field, Jack plays with active footwork and agile actions covering good ground. He takes the correct routes and makes the routine plays. Jack fields the ball in a high position with a firm glove. He has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from an over the top arm slot. Jack plays with good momentum through the baseball showing consistently online throws. Offensively, Jack has a tall, open setup with a centered balance. He has a good load with an on-time, square stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Jack has an on-plane swing path consistently landing the barrel to the baseball. He is a contact type hitter who has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Overall, Jack is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to get even better.

04/08/2018 - College PREP - Sanford (Orlando), FL Jack is a tall, well-built right-handed pitching prospect. On the mound, Jack has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works downhill and uses his legs well. He has a stiff arm action and extends through his release. Jack stays square to home plate with a controlled landing at the proper stride length. He finishes well with his chest over his front knee. Jack has sink and run movement on his fastball at 82-83 MPH. His curveball has sharp, sudden break with a tight spin. Jack has a deceptive changeup showing sink movement. Overall, Jack has a talented skill set with a high potential to get even better.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
