06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Jack is a 2-way 3B/RHP that will graduate in 2020. At 3B Jack has a relaxed ready position with smooth footwork. He fields the ball athletically and low. He exchanges the ball cleanly creating momentum towards his target and making accurate throws with backspin across the diamond. At the plate Jack has a tall setup. He works hard to rotate his lower half and get the barrel on plane with the pitch. He shows the ability to make solid line drive contact and showed to be selective early on pitches in the games. On the mound, Jack showed a 3-pitch mix with a FB, CB, and SL. The FB showed some sink, the CB had gradual 11-5 break, and the SL had good depth with tight spin. His mechanics are simple with a clean arm action and good stride length. Jack worked hard out in Omaha and we look forward to seeing his development.
