01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jack is an athletic OF/RHP prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Jack shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through a tall setup. He is fluid to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap power. On the mound, Jack gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Jack shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 58-61mph with good movement. Overall, Jack is a talented prospect who will be one to follow as he continues to progress.

07/18/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jack is an athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an aggressive approach. Hands are quick, and work through level swing path. He makes consistent contact, showing a line drive approach with plus barrel accuracy. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-71 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with tight spin and gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength, works to throw more strikes, and develops better off speed stuff. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. With 5 years to further develop, Jack has an upside on the diamond with time and room to continue to progress his game.

01/05/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Jacksonville, FL Jack is a tall, athletic, OF with solid skills. At the plate, Jack has a square/athletic stance, a short stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He has good balance, a short/direct barrel, and he hits line drives gap to gap. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
