04/11/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Manalapan, NJ Jack is a 1B prospect in the class of 2022. He shows off a very large and physical frame at 6’7” 240 lbs. At the plate, he does a good job of driving the baseball to all fields. Quiet head allows him to have a repeatable swing. Shows off fast hands that are short to the zone. Shows power potential. At 1B, he does a good job setting himself up for success by having pre-pitch movement. Does a good job attacking and working downhill to the baseball. Throws are accurate and on a line. Jack is a fun prospect to watch that with continued development will have an opportunity to play at the next level.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Jack is an athletic and tall 2022 1B prospect that worked hard all week and made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. At 1B, Jack works off the bag well, has a clean exchange, and picks the ball out of the dirt. He needs to continue to work on his pre-pitch movement, presenting a low/early glove, and knowing where to go on cut offs and relays. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Jack starts in a squared stance, creates back hip rotation, and hits the ball to all fields. He needs to continue to get his front foot down on time and create separation to have better pitch recognition. Being aggressive on the fastball and keeping middle approach will elevate his game in the box as well. Jack will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/08/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Jack is a big, 1B who will graduate in 2022. Defensively at 1B, he shows efficient footwork and tries to work into a square fielding position. He fields GB's out in front of his body and makes accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this LHH displays an athletic setup with fluid rhythm. He consistently finds his barrel as he swings fast through the zone and drives pitches from gap to gap. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Quick feet
2. Work low
3. Clean exchange to throw
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Stay short
3. Lower 1/2 drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
