01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Jack is a SS/RHP prospect who showed well during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Jack makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate/on-line across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and tracks the ball well. He gets into his load and leads with his lower half, producing strong contact. On the mound, Jack gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Jack operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 85mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 67-70mph with late 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 74-75mph with tailing action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Jack is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/19/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sioux Falls, SD Jack is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Jack shows active footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He shows smooth rhythm and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, driving the ball from gap to gap. On the mound, Jack gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Jack operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph. Breaking ball sits at 64mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits at 68mph. Overall, Jack is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

01/18/2021 - All-In Membership - Omaha, NE Jack is a tall RHP/C prospect who will graduate in 2024. On the mound, Jack shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 64-66mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 64-66mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Behind the plate, Jack shows active footwork and is agile moving to block. He presents a good target to the pitcher and receives with soft hands. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He shows smooth rhythm and stays direct through the ball, using the entire field well. With three more years to develop, Jack has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
