01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Schneider has a high-waisted, athletic build at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. He was among the best runners at the event, with a 60 yard dash of 6.57 and a 30 yard dash of 3.65. His right-handed stroke was built around bat speed and natural strength to impact the ball, as evidenced by his 98 mph exit velocity. There was some stiffness and length to his move, but he showed the speed and natural hand-eye coordination to get the barrel on the ball in BP. Defensively, he reacted very well to the ball off the bat and moved with ease to play the ball. The ball jumped from his hand and maintained life to the target when he finished his throws. Overall, an ultra talented athlete with lots of untapped potential.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
