01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Jack continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays fluid actions. He utilizes his aggressive feet as he moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. He displays smooth / clean actions with hands / feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

07/27/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (HS) Jack improved his foot speed as he ran his best 60 time to date at the event. In the OF, he reads balls well off the bat and takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and covers ground in the OF. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently

06/21/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frederick, MD Jack is an OF who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with some present strength on his frame and plenty of room to add. In the OF, Jack starts with a good pre-pitch routine and active/efficient feet. Smooth actions who gets good reads off bat. Aggressive to the ball and fields it low and square. Works behind and through the ball with a high 1 hand catch. Clean transfer into a 3/4 arm slot who releases out front with an arm velocity of 74mph. A right-handed hitter, sets up with an athletic and open stance. Smooth swing, who stays on pitch, and ability to hit ball to the opposite field. On-plane swing who makes square contact. Hit line drives into both gaps and a bat exit velocity of 74mph. With continued growth and development, we see Jack having a bright future on the baseball field.

12/05/2020 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend Jack is a coachable OF/SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Offensive Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing and produces consistent line drives. Driving his lower half more can help Jack generate more pop off the barrel. Overall, Jack is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/30/2020 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (HS) Jack continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls more and play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

02/22/2020 - Baseball Factory Mid-Atlantic Offensive Skills Weekend - Columbia, MD (Ages 14-18) Jack is a young RHH who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Offensive Skills Training Weekend. At the plate, he displays an open setup with rhythm to load. He maintains a quiet head, tracks pitches into the zone and takes an aggressive hack looking to do damage. Continuing to focus on remaining balanced throughout the entire swing will help to improve barrel control. As he works on creating more extension through contact, power will increase as well. This 2023 grad is a coachable player who will only continue to develop as he physically matures and gets stronger.

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Jack is a young OF with a thin frame. He will graduate in 2023. Defensively, Jack has agile range, playable footwork, and he works well behind the ball. He is sure handed, he makes plays consistently, and throws with consistency and accuracy to his cut off man. Abilities in the OF can get better if Jack can quicken footwork, add more crow hop, and strengthen his arm. At the plate, Jack has a square stance, an activated load, and he takes a square stride toward the pitcher. He rotates his core through well and shows the ability to spray the ball to all fields. More lower body, added bat speed, and more extension through the baseball will help improve offensive numbers.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
