04/05/2009 - College PREP - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Jack is an OF/RHP that brings an average size frame to the diamond. As a P, Jack throws over the top, has better than average control, and plus arm action and pitching mechanics. He shows a nice arm slot, gets hips balanced, lands direct to the hitter's zone, and throws strikes consistently. Teah would benefit from getting more of an elevation of the front hip, landing on a bent knee, and getting out more over the front side. This would all help in getting more arm extension. In the OF, Jack shows good feet and body control; he gets behind the fly ball, and plays through the ground ball nicely. Teah tends to drop his arm slot and loft the ball instead of throwing through the cut off man. At the plate, Jack shows good line approach, he stays inside the ball, and flashes arm extension to the opposite field. To become a better hitter, Jack needs to soften his stride, he needs to eliminate barring out on his load, and needs to use more lower half of body on swing.
