11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Jackson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.31 with accuracy on his throws. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone. He uses his body well through the blocking process but needs to improve his lateral movements. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are strong and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works hard to be the best player he can be, and plays with a lot of energy.

07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Jackson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.45. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone through the receiving process. He uses his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get his body down sooner. He is a vocal leader on the field and shows a solid feel for the game. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with 2 BB. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 3 years to further develop, Jackson has the makings of a special type player with time and room to continue to progress his game.

12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 Jackson is a Lanky, athletic 2021 catching prospect that displays a high baseball IQ. As a Catcher, Jackson needs to continue working on a quick/clean exchange in front of his chest, using his legs to throw, and becoming a big, quiet target behind the dish. As a hitter, Jackson has an athletic stance, backs the ball up, and makes hard solid contact. If he continues to work on attacking the inside part of the ball, driving the back hip to the ball, and getting extension through contact, he will become a more complete hitter. Jackson is a competitor with a good head on his shoulders. Jackson shows to be a coachable player and continues to improve with experience.

06/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Jackson is a very hard worker who brings energy to the field every day. He has a great attitude and work ethic. Behind the plate, he shows leadership type qualities and is vocal taking charge on the field. He tracks pitches into his mitt and frames well, sticking the ball. Exchange is clean as he works in-line toward 2B - pop times now at 2.58. Times will continue to drop as he adds arm strength which will come with overall maturity. As a hitter - Jackson steps into the box looking to swing it. He takes a hack on a short/direct path and squares the ball up with some pop - working to engage his lower 1/2. Even more power potential is there if he can work to create more extension through his finish. Alsobrooks is the type of player who leads by example. He has a very bright future ahead of him.

01/18/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Mesa (Phoenix), AZ Jackson is a young (20212 grad) 2-way player as a C/1B. Behind the dish, he sits in well with athletic actions and flexion. He is quick laterally taking good angles to body up pitches in the dirt. Exchange is clean with accurate throws down to 2B - pop times at 3.00. At 1B, Jackson moves well laterally to GB's to his right and left. He tracks the ball into his mitt and makes the plays with soft/sure hands. Offensively, this RHH shows a square setup with rhythm in his hands. He takes an aggressive hack, barrels the ball up and drives the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

1. Receiving
2. Arm strength (long toss)
3. Quicken exchange

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
