Jackson is a class of 2022 1B/3B prospect. In the infield, he shows the ability to make the routine play. Shows good footwork and works downhill towards the baseball. At the plate, he shows off a good lower ½ and drives to the baseball. Also shows a good load and ability to be on time. Reached base multiple times and hit a 2B in game action. Jackson is a good player with a bright future.
02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East)
Jackson continues to show as a top prospect at the Opening Bay Classic. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are soft / sure and he showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt, saving throws. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting abilities with excellent power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick generating bat speed (87 mph exit velocity) through an aggressive swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 3B and HR. Mental makeup is a plus as he is coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament
Barnett continues to impress us with his ability on the baseball field. Jackson is a strong and physical (6’2"/220 lbs) prospect in the 2022 class. At the plate, Barnett stands square and athletic with a controlled and centered stride. He has an explosive lower half translating to powerful line drive contact, making him an impressive gap-to-gap hitter. Displaying hard and consistent contact, Jackson will fit nicely into a clean-up type role. Defensively at 1B, he is a big target who is athletic and can move around the bag well. He hands soft hands, tracks GB's into his mitt and has the ability to pick it. Jackson is a solid corner infield prospect who will make an impact with the bat.

Jackson continues to shine on the diamond. In the IF, this corner guy shows smooth / fluid actions. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are active as he works to square balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to presents earlier and more out front. At 3B, feet are active as he works to square balls up. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a tall setup with balance. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with power showing best to the pull side.

Jackson is an athletic and strong 2022 utility prospect that has made significant improvement since we last saw him. At 1B, Jackson is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and he works off the bag with proper footwork. At the 3B, Jackson makes the routine play and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Jackson starts in a closed stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He Attacks the inside part of the ball and he looks to drive the ball to the pull side. Jackson is highly motivated and we hope to see him continue his progress.
11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18)
Jackson is an athletic and talented 2022 1B prospect. At 1B, Jackson is on time with his prep step, he attacks the ball, and plays through his backhand. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws on double plays. He needs to continue to create a lane and make accurate throws on double plays. He also needs to continue to present a low/early glove. At the plate, Jackson starts in an open stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and separates on time. He stays in his legs, creates backside rotation with his lower half, and drives the ball gap to gap. Jackson needs to continue to learn the position. Understanding where to position himself on hitters and on cuts offs from the outfield. Jackson will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
09/30/2018 - College PREP - Jacksonville, FL
Jackson is a talented 2022 1B prospect. He had good testing numbers and showed his athleticism in the 5-10-5. At 1B, Jackson presents a low glove, makes accurate throws, and the routine plays. At the plate, Jackson starts in a squared stance and tracks the ball well. He creates backside rotation with the lower half and show good bat speed. Jackson will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
