01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Jackson continues to show shine in his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 73-75 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Jackson continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way and covers a lot of ground with his foot quickness (7.38 60 time). Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws (81 mph velocity) on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (82 mph exit velocity) as he stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 66-69 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

04/11/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Jackson is a 2022 1B/RHP. Tall frame athletic build with some present strength and room to add. Primary 1B, he moves his feet well on defense creating good angles. Works from the ground up and shows soft hands. Low funnel and clean transfers to an over the top arm slot. Accurate arm to all bases with good carry across the diamond at 79mph. Secondary RHP gathers over the rubber and works down the mound well. Incorporates the lower half as he rotates to target. 3 pitch pitcher who is developing command and FB velocity. Flashed a FB that was up to 72mph and an 11/5 shape CB with medium break. Also mixed in a changeup, which is his best pitch, that he throws with FB arm speed and tailing action. Right-handed hitter who starts with a square and athletic stance. Balanced setup and does a good job of keeping head and eyes still. Stays in his legs as he delivers the barrel with some late bat whip and a bat exit speed at 80mph. Flat path through the zone and ability to deliver the barrel with some pull side pop. Should have opportunities to play at the next level with continued development and growth.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jackson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He work to get behind and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (81 mph exit velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-74 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Building more arm strength through a long toss program will aid in improving stock on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

11/21/2020 - All-In Membership - Irvine (Los Angeles), CA Jackson is a tall, lean OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (81 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting abilities through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. With 2 years to further develop, Jackson has potential with time and room to improve his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
