05/02/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Clarksburg, WV Jackson is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the field, Jackson shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He fields in a square position and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate/on-line throws through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and gets back into his load well. He works through a direct swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent line drives. On the mound, Jackson gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Jackson operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph. Breaking ball sits from 58-60mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 64-65mph with arm side run and sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. With four more years to develop, Jackson has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
