09/20/2023 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2025) Jackson is a 6ft 2/172 OF/LHP in the 2025 class. Defensively, he plays on the balls of his feet and his feet are active. Plays with agility and creates angles to stay inside the baseball. Can cover his defensive zone with strong legs. Creates momentum on his throws, and his feeds back to the dirt have accuracy and life. Working to field out in front of his eyes will help his exchanges. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix from a high ¾ slot from the left side. His FB sat 70-5 and his CB shaped 1-7 at 62-6. His CH displays sinking action with deception at 66-9. At the plate, he showed well with 3 hits and 2 BB’s in game action. He begins in a narrow stance and shows excellent barrel control. Can drive the baseball gap-to gap and working to keep his chest above the baseball will prevent lifting the baseball. Scouts raved about his strike zone knowledge. Overall, Jackson is a solid two-way player and looks to have a bright future.

01/29/2023 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Indianapolis, IN Jackson is a OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. A left-handed pitcher, has long levers and a projectible frame. He shows good rhythm to his delivery with good direction to towards the plate. Easy delivery with ability to repeat it. He separates his hands on-time as he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and has a clean arm stroke. Throws a FB that was up to 72mph with good command. He mixes in a 2/8 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth, and a changeup with some sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen session. In the OF, takes aggressive angles to balls, with efficient footwork, and showed good instincts as he worked behind and through the baseball. He fields from a square fielding position with a clean gather off of his right foot. Creates momentum on his throws into infield. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. He takes an aggressive swing, with a fast barrel through the hitting zone, and is balanced at contact. He hit balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 86mph. With 2 1/2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

10/05/2022 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2025) Jackson is a talented OF/LHP in the 2025 class. Scouts raved about his intangibles and make-up at the AZ Sophomore Classic. Felt he was a solid team player, hard worker and very coachable. In the field, they were impressed with his smooth actions advanced routes to the baseball. His feet are quick (7.31 runner) and he works to get behind the baseball. Has pocket feel and his exchanges are quick and clean. Arm is accurate and with added strength, he will develop more carry on the baseball. On the mound, he has simple and repeatable mechanics. His FB topped at 75 with tailing actions. His CB has plus command and sat 57-60 with 12/6 shape. At the plate, he can work the count and battle. He begins in a tall square stance and gets into an on-time stride. Gains separation and stays centered in his balance. Hands are fast and displays line drive production to the pull side. Engaging his lower half will increase his power to the gaps. Overall, Jackson is a solid two0way player and a must follow in the 2025 class.

01/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Indianapolis, IN Jackson is an OF/LHP prospect who continues to showcased his skills on the diamond. In the field, Jackson covers ground well and takes good angles. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a tall stance with a quiet head. He shows good feel for the barrel and drives the ball up the middle. On the mound, Jackson gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Jackson operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 56-58mph with 2-8 break. Changeup sits from 62-64mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Jackson is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/13/2021 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Jackson is a very coachable OF in the class of 2025. He shows a medium sized athletic frame with room to continue to fill out. Has good foot speed and athleticism. At the plate, he shows a clean swing with quiet mechanics. Does a good job of staying fluid and balanced throughout his swing. He shows feel for the barrel and squares the ball up consistently. Barrel path is very direct to the zone. Uses lower ½ well to create late bat whip. In the field, he does a good job of presenting his hands out front when fielding. Does a good job of creating momentum to throw and throws are accurate and on top of the bag. Shows the ability to high point the baseball and works downhill on balls hit to them on the ground. He works hard and is a team player. Jackson is a good prospect with 4 years left of high school to continue his development.

03/21/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Dayton, OH Jackson is an OF/LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through a tall, open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. In the OF, he displays smooth/fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 62-65 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Jackson has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
