01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jackson is a left handed hitting OF with a 6'1/190 lbs frame. In his most recent outing with Baseball Factory, he showed exceptional improvements to his athleticism, running a 7.03 sixty, 4.47 home to first, 4.51-4.57 shuttle, and broad jumping 8'10. He showed the combination of power and speed, while hitting his best exit velocity of 97 mph, with his direct barrel path. He generated good bat speed to hit with hand & hip coordination and worked pull side very well. Defensively, he had the signs of a polished defender, working with a soft glove and the proper footwork to field and throw. In all - Jackson has that intriguing LHH stroke that pairs nicely with his speed and power, making him a versatile outfielder for any of the three spots.

07/10/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National East Jackson is a lean, athletic OF that will graduate in 2017 with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.32 60 time. At the plate is where he showed best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength in his swing, mainly to the pull side. At the event, he was 2 for 5. In the OF, he utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles. He reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground, displaying range. Throws are accurate with on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. With 2 years to further develop, Jackson has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
