08/01/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Lancaster continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. His foot speed has really improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.0. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. His hands are soft / clean as he consistently shows the ability to pick balls out of the dirt, saving throws. At the plate, he shows an athletic stance with rhythm. His hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with power numbers improving as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he topped out at 80 mph. Fastball showed a range of 77-80 mph with arm side run / sink. Breaking ball is a quality pitch, displaying 12/6 shape with sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup that has slight run. Command / control are a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Mental makeup is solid as he has an upside and has a strong understanding of the game.
