10/25/2015 - College PREP - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Jackson is a L/L 2-way player as a 1B/OF. At 1B, he shows active footwork and hustles into a square fielding position behind the GB. He secures the ball with soft hands and gathers well. He moves well around the 1B bag and can adjust to inaccurate throws. In the OF, Jackson has prep footwork moving well to his right and left. He works behind the ball, secures it with 2-hands and works in-line toward his target. Continuing to develop his foot speed will help to cover ground in the OF. Offensively, this lefty shows a square setup with good balance. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2, getting the barrel to it and pulling it down the line. Swinging on a shorter/more direct path work more bat speed will result in increased power. Jackson (2017 grad) still has time to develop his skills to get to where he wants to be.
