02/22/2014 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 12-14)
Jackson does a very good job on letting his body work during the swing, and it is especially good when everything happens on time. Jackson's biggest issue is his timing, to fix this he needs to develop a strong consistent stride and load. If he can get his front foot down on time consistently he will see better timing, and also see more barrel control. I also liked where Jackson got at contact, he great angles at contact and was in a strong position to drive the baseball. Jackson also tends to get stiff at times which slows his barrel down, if he can focus on keeping the hands loose during the swing and relaxing the body it will allow his swing to happen more naturally.

Jackson is a young, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. Defensively, Jackson has an aggressive approach, an early glove, and he uses 2 hands. He has playable hands, good direction, and some accuracy to his target. On the mound, Jackson has a short arm action, he keeps his eyes on target, and he gets good extension on his pitches. Offensively, Jackson has an upright set-up, quick hands, and a balanced approach. He makes solid contact and gets some lower through. Overall abilities can get better with work on the following.
1. Improve accuracy
2. Play through ball
3. Reads off bat
1. Long toss
2. Develop CB
3. Finish pitches
2. Stay closed
3. Finish swing
