06/03/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Jacob is a lean, athletic built outfield prospect who has an above average skill set on both sides of the ball. In the field, Jacob plays with active footwork and moves well laterally with an aggressive approach. He presents his glove getting around the baseball to field it squarely and athletically. Jacob has a quick, clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball producing strong, accurate throws. As a left-handed hitter, Jacob has an athletic, square setup with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with his load and a short, square stride as he uses his lower, half throughout his swing. Jacob shows fast bat speed with a direct swing path resulting in consistent contact. He is a contact type hitter who has a line drive approach. Overall, Jacob has talent offensively and defensively with good potential to be an impact player at the next level.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Allred is a very talented top of the line-up type of guy. At the plate, this lefty stands in well with an athletic setup with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick as he whips the barrel with speed and connects with pop. He gets out of the box and down the 1B line with speed, putting pressure on the defense. In the OF, he covers a ton of ground with speed (6.83) and can play all 3 spots. He works behind and through the ball aggressively, with a smooth transfer to throw. This all-around talent has a ton of upside and makes things happen when he steps in-between the white lines.

09/26/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Allred is a talented underclassmen OF with advanced speed and a very good left-handed stroke. His 6.82 60 yard dash puts him inside the top 20 runners we've seen in the 2018 class as of the time of the Futures West event. His left-handed stroke was simple pre-pitch and coordinated through contact, allowing for consistent barrel contact. Defensively, he was aggressive to the ball and played through it with momentum to the target. Overall, combines speed with a quality left-handed stroke.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
