01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jacob is a strong LHH 3B who can swing it. At the plate, he stands in with good balance and a solid base. He remains aggressive and takes a hack at pitches he likes. Quick hands fire the barrel to and through the zone as he connects with strength. At 3B, Jacob has active prep and fluidly works around the GB. He presents his glove, funnels smoothly and has a clean transfer to throw. Jacob is a middle of the order guy who can make things happen both on offense and defense.

07/26/2017 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Jacob continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / clean actions. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open / athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-83 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as well in attacking hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Jacob is a competitor with plus mental makeup as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

05/07/2017 - College PREP - College Station, TX Jacob is a tall, broad 3B/RHP who a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has excellent strength in his swing with the baseball coming off the bat a little differently. Power shows best to the pull side. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range will continue to improve as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Fastball showed a range of 76-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He throws a slider that resembles breaking ball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Jacob has the makings of special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
