09/30/2018 - College PREP - Las Vegas, NV Jacob is an athletic 2B prospect who can get it done on both sides of the ball. He shows off a strong arm at second to make plays up the middle and turn quick double plays. He is aggressive to the ball with quick feet and works to his backhand with ease. He is athletic to field and funnels the ball in to make plays cleanly. At the dish, he shows a compact swing and gets on plane early to make the plane of the pitch. He keeps his hands inside the ball to use all fields and keeps his head quiet to deliver the barrel consistently. Keeping his upper body loose will result in more bat whip and power. Jacob is a player we want to continue watching as he develops.

06/14/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Las Vegas, NV Jacob is a young (2020 grad) 2-way player as a SS/OF. With the bat, this RHH shows a square setup with a good base. Swing path is level as he connects and drives the ball back up the middle of the field. At SS, Peters hustles around the GB and into a square fielding position. He gathers well and has a clean exchange to throw. In the OF, he takes a good 1st step with solid routes to the fly-ball. He secures the ball with 2-hands and gains ground toward his target. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
