10/29/2017 - College PREP - Pittsburgh, PA Jacob is a tall, thin, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and RHP. Defensively, Jacob gets in a good ready position, feet are active, and he presents a soft glove early. He fields in a low position, has a clean exchange, and throws with a loose/quick arm action with accuracy and consistency to his target. Playing more through, finishing off his throws, and added arm strength will help defensive numbers continue to get better. On the mound, Jacob has a nice delivery, a loose arm action, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He works in good rhythm, lands with proper direction, and finishes in a square position. Staying tall with his back leg, keeping his eyes on target longer, and continuing to add arm strength all will help mound effectiveness get better. Offensively, Jacob has a square/athletic set-up, a short/square stride, and a proper load. He uses his lower body well, has fast bat speed, and can work the ball to all fields. Staying on a more level swing plane and added strength can help hitting further improve.
