01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jacques is an athletic OF/RHP prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Jacques shows efficient footwork and moves well laterally. He plays through the ball well and makes accurate/on-line throws through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid to load and works through a level swing, producing strong line drives. On the mound, Jacques gathers over the rubber and works with a quick arm. He extends through his release and stays inline toward the plate, finishing square to his target. Jacques shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 62mph with arm side run and sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 50-52mph with 11-5 break. Overall, Jacques is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/18/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jacques is a lean, athletic OF/LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and will continue to improve as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an aggressive approach. Hands are quick, and work through level swing path. He makes consistent contact, showing a line drive approach with plus barrel accuracy, flashing gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 65-67 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with tight spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for pitch with sinking action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength, works to throw more strikes, and develops better off speed stuff. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. With 5 years to further develop, Jacques has an upside on the diamond with time and room to continue to progress his game.

01/26/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Myrtle Beach, SC Jacques is an athletic, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. Defensively, Jacques has quick/fluid feet, agile range, and he fields athletically. He has a good 1st step, makes plays consistently, and throws with carry and momentum from a long arm action to his cut off man. On the mound, Jacques has good balance, a loose arm circle, and on-time hand separation. He keeps his eyes on target, lands with good direction, and competes in the zone. At the plate, Jacques has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, a short/direct barrel, and he hits line drives consistently. Solid overall skills can get better with work on the following

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
