12/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Jacquez continues to show a promising future on the diamond. He showed at 3B and on the mound for the first time at the event. At the plate is where he continues to show best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive approach, creating extension. He has strength and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 4 for 6 with 2 2B and a 3B. At 3B, feet are active as he works to square balls up. Hands are clean and he presents well out front. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry on his throws across the diamond. On the mound, he continues to shine. Fastball showed a range of 78-83 mph through a high 3/4 arm slot. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with gradual break. Control is a plus as he throws a ton of strikes, working to get ahead of hitters. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a great team player. Jacquez has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game, possibly as a two-way guy.
