Official Scouting Report

02/22/2020 - Baseball Factory Mid-Atlantic Combined Skills Training - Columbia, MD (Ages 14-18) Jadon is a strong young 3B/RHP who's biggest strength is his raw power at the plate. He has a balanced approach with good balance and an efficient lower half at the plate. On the mound, Bumbaugh works from a confident pitcher that works with good balance, an on-time seperation, and a loose, quick arm. He also works in line with good extension and a good controlled delivery. His CB is his best pitch.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Jadon is a talented and hard working 3B prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week. At 3B, Jadon is aggressive to the ball, he has proper footwork, and makes accurate throws. He needs to continue to be on time with his prep step, presents a low/early glove, and improve his first step quickness. At the plate, Jadon starts in an open stance and loads his hands back. He’s a strong kid with a middle approach. Jadon needs to continue to rotate his backside and look to attack the inside part of the ball. On the bump, Jadon gathers over the rubber, he separates on time, and rides his backside downhill. He needs to continue to keep a strong glove side when throwing his fastball and get his fingers on top of his curveball. Jadon is a strong kid and will continue to improve with experience.

07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jadon is an athletic and talented 2024 2-way prospect. At the hot corner, Jadon is on time with his prep step, he fields the ball in a proper fielding position, and creates angles to the ball. He makes accurate throws and plays through the ball. He needs to continue to know positioning, reading hitters swing paths, and knowing where to go on cut offs. At the plate, Jadon starts in an open stance, he gets his lower half to balance, and has good rhythm to the ball. When he needs to be more consistent making contact and having a middle approach. Keeping the barrel inside the ball and his head down at contact will improve his contact rate mechanically. Jadon has good mound presence and pounds the bottom half of the strike zone with his fastball. He has tight spin on his breaking ball and shows some feel for his changeup. He gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a clean arm action. Jadon needs to continue to stay positive and just compete at all times with a so what attitude on the field. He has tremendous upside and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
