07/05/2019 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jayden is an athletic and hard working 2023 2-way prospect. He made several adjustments throughout the week and applied them in game. On the bump, Jayden has a simple delivery, he gathers over the rubber, and separates on time. He throws his fastball down in the zone and competes on every pitch. At 2B, Jayden is aggressive to the ball and has good footwork when throwing the ball. He makes the routine play but needs to continue to be on time with his prep step, present a low/early glove, and improve his range. At the plate, Jayden starts in a tall stance, he loads his hands back, and looks to make contact through the middle part of the field. He rotates his backside through the ball and hunts the fastball. Jayden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Jadyn is a hardworking RHP/2B prospect who has tall, projectable frame. On the mound, Jadyn has a balanced delivery throwing from an over the top arm slot. He keeps his eyes on his target and extends through his release. Jadyn stays square to home plate and effectively uses his front side. He does a nice job rotating towards his target as he finishes. Jadyn is aggressive with his fastball and attacks the strike zone. Offensively, Jadyn has a tall setup with a centered balance and firm front side. He has a simple approach with quiet actions. Jadyn has a long swing path and maintains a flat barrel through the zone. He stays inside the baseball and the ability to use all fields. In the field, Jadyn moves well in each direction laterally. He fields the ball in a high position and flashes glove extension. Jadyn has a long exchange and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. He is working to play through the baseball and add arm strength. Overall, Jadyn plays the game with passion and is a great teammate.

10/14/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Pasadena (Los Angeles), CA Jadyn is a thin, lean, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and RHP. Defensively, Jadyn has efficient footwork, he fields athletically, and makes the routine plays. He tries to center, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy from a short arm action to his target. On the mound, Jadyn has a balanced delivery, he separates on time, and has a complete landing toward home plate. Offensively, Jadyn has an open/athletic set-up, good balance, and a repeatable swing. He makes contact, rotates through the ball, and uses his lower body. Jadyn can improve overall skills with work on the following.

1. Widen base
2. Play more through
3. Release
1. Lengthen AA
2. CB
3. Arm speed
1. Swing path
2. Rhythm

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
