06/21/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Jaeger is a coachable player who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series. In the field, Jaeger shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic fielding position and has a clean exchange to throw. He gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to remain accurate and carry through his target. Jaeger can improve defensively by fielding the ball out in front of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride to the ball. He is smooth getting into his load and lead swell with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. Jaeger can improve as a hitter by keeping his head still throughout his swing. On the mound, Jaeger gathers over the rubber well and has a clean arm action. He shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 67mph with arm side tail. Changeup sits from 58-59mph with tailing action as he throws with fastball arm speed. Jaeger can improve as a hitter by separating his hands higher and later in his motion. Only a 2022 grad, Jaeger has the time and potential to further develop his skills.
