12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Jake is a hard worker who pushes himself. At 1B, he shows good bag awareness and can adjust to throws coming his way. He fields the ball cleanly, gathers well and makes the plays. At the plate, this righty maintains good balance throughout his swing and delivers the barrel on a level path. He squares the ball up and uses the whole field. Utilizing his size and strong lower 1/2 will help to increase power at the plate. On the bump, Jake has a 3-pitch mix coming at a 3/4 arm slot. He works downhill and in-line toward the dish, maintaining good body control. He competes and fills up the zone, throwing strikes with all of his pitches. With some of his solid skills, Larsen is a few adjustments away from reaching his potential.
