01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament In addition to standout catch and throw skills, Meyer showed a strong right-handed stroke with the ability to drive the ball to the pull side. He had good rhythm to hit with his body, and used his lower half and the rotation of his core to drive his swing. Though there was some stiffness in his hands early, he showed a natural feel for the barrel and was able to get it to the ball and showed the ability to use the whole field in BP. Behind the plate, he showed arm strength to post release times as low as 1.87. His throws were accurate and carried through the bag. He was able to move from a crouch to block balls in the dirt, and showed sure hands to receive. Overall, a talented all around player with a potentially big right-handed bat and excellent catch and throw ability.
