At 3B, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry across the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.01. He gets rid of the baseball through a quick transfer / exchange with accuracy and carry (84 mph velocity) on his throws. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop.
