12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14)
Jake is a tall 2B/OF that put together quality AB's at Dodgertown. At the plate, Jake sets up in a square stance with comfortable hands. As he starts his load, he keeps his body under control firing the lower half through and getting the barrel on-plane. He shows +barrel control making solid contact with a line drive approach. At 2B, Jake hustles to make the play working hard to get to a good fielding position/ Working on getting his glove more out in front of his body will allow him to become a better fielder. He works to get rid of the ball quickly and delivers accurate throws. Becoming more agile will help improve Jakes overall athleticism. Jake is young with several years to develop, we look forward to seeing his progress.

In the OF, Jake has fluid footwork, agile movements, and a presentable glove. He moves with agility to the ball, makes plays and throws with carry and consistency to his cut off man. At the plate, Jake has a square stance, he loads his hands well, and works the middle of the field. He shows some pop in his bat and taps into his lower body.
