10/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Stillwater, MN Jake is a young, lean, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and OF. In the INF, Jake has active feet, agile movements, and he fields athletically. He fields in a square position, his exchange is quick and clean, and he delivers the ball with accuracy from a quick release. In the OF, Jake has fluid footwork, agile movements, and a presentable glove. He moves with agility to the ball, makes plays and throws with carry and consistency to his cut off man. At the plate, Jake has a square stance, he loads his hands well, and works the middle of the field. He shows some pop in his bat and taps into his lower body. Overall skills can get better if Jake can work on the following.

Infield
1. Play more through
2. DP's
3. Throwing
Outfield
1. Aggressiveness
2. Arm strength
Offense
1. Barrel accuracy
2. Balance
3. Swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
