06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Jake is a SS /3B who will graduate in 2024. Athletic build with some strength present and frame to add more strength. At SS, active/efficient feet and ability to create good fielding angles in all directions. Ability to pick out hops, while keeping eyes behind his glove, and fields the ball out front in low fielding position. Shows ability to throw from multiple arm slots with accurate/on-line throws across the diamond and an arm velocity of 82mph. Showed good touch on his DP feeds. A left-handed hitter begins with an upright and open stance. Smooth swing, with a short/square stride, and gets good extension through contact. Attacks pitches on the inner half and hits hard line drives to all fields. Reached base 4 times in live game action and had a bat exit velocity of 86mph. As he continues to mature and develop, we foresee Jake having a bright future on the baseball field.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Quinn is a very talented & versatile athlete who can swing it with power. At the plate, this left stands in tall with centered balance and rhythm to load. Loose hands whip the barrel to and through the zone with + bat speed as he connects and sends the ball screaming (exit velo = 86 mph) and collecting a 3B and a 1B at the event. He will fit nicely into a clean-up type of role. At 2B, he is works into a square/athletic fielding position. He tracks the GB into his mitt, gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. Only a 2024 grad - the future looks very bright for this young talent.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Jake is a tall 2B/OF that put together quality AB's at Dodgertown. At the plate, Jake sets up in a square stance with comfortable hands. As he starts his load, he keeps his body under control firing the lower half through and getting the barrel on-plane. He shows +barrel control making solid contact with a line drive approach. At 2B, Jake hustles to make the play working hard to get to a good fielding position/ Working on getting his glove more out in front of his body will allow him to become a better fielder. He works to get rid of the ball quickly and delivers accurate throws. Becoming more agile will help improve Jakes overall athleticism. Jake is young with several years to develop, we look forward to seeing his progress.

10/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Jake is a young, lean, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and OF. In the INF, Jake has active feet, agile movements, and he fields athletically. He fields in a square position, his exchange is quick and clean, and he delivers the ball with accuracy from a quick release. In the OF, Jake has fluid footwork, agile movements, and a presentable glove. He moves with agility to the ball, makes plays and throws with carry and consistency to his cut off man. At the plate, Jake has a square stance, he loads his hands well, and works the middle of the field. He shows some pop in his bat and taps into his lower body. Overall skills can get better if Jake can work on the following.

Infield
1. Play more through
2. DP's
3. Throwing
Outfield
1. Aggressiveness
2. Arm strength
Offense
1. Barrel accuracy
2. Balance
3. Swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
