01/28/2018 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Jamar is a strong, athletic 2B prospect who shows middle of the order potential at the plate. He shows impressive pop at the plate with the ability to deliver the barrel to the ball and hit it hard consistently. His bat speed is very fast through the zone as he works on a level path and extends through contact. Lower half works well to generate core rotation and power as he launches extra base hits to all fields. At second, he is aggressive working to the ball with active footwork and lateral agility. He has extended range and a strong glove angle to funnel everything in, turning the DP quickly. Jamar is a prospect we expect to have a successful senior season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
