08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) James is an athletic and talented 2020 2-way prospect that worked hard and made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. At 3B, James works through his backhand, has a clean exchange, and makes accurate throws. He needs to continue to present a low/early glove, works from the ground up, and anticipate the ball off the bat. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, James starts in a crouched stance and stays balanced thru contact. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball, create backside rotation, and hunt the fastball. On the bump, James gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a clean arm action. He needs to continue to keep a strong front side and work north to south in his delivery. His fastball has 2 seam run and his curveball has a 10-4 break. James will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
