08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) James continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.19. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, hands are soft / clean and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a very hard worker.
