07/26/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) James is a coachable RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. On the mound, James gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. James shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 81mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 66-71mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 75-76mph. Striding square towards the plate can help James improve as a pitcher. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and gets his hands activated in his load. He rotates his core well and makes solid contact. Working a smoother rhythm into his load can help James improve as a hitter. Overall, James is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.
