06/12/2013 - Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One Florida Vaughan has a long and lean frame at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds. Defensively, he presented his glove out front showed some feel to play through the ball with his feet. The ball got out of his hand with life and had carry across the infield. His footwork and arm action have the length and look to be more suited for the OF than 1B, and he moves more like an OF - though he is a solid defender at 1B, he may be better suited for OF and may be a candidate for a position change in the future. At the plate, he showed rhythm to hit. His hands were quick, and he showed good feel for the barrel along with the ability to consistently make solid contact. His route to contact was short, and he got extension after contact that will allow for power to develop as he fills out. Line drive type hitter now with the ability to hit the ball up the middle and the other way.
